A secure connection for your new appliance
A gas cooker or hob needs the right supply, position, clearances and ventilation before it can be connected. We check the appliance and installation area, confirm the connection point is suitable and review the manufacturer's information where relevant. For replacement work, we can disconnect the existing appliance before fitting the new one. We then make the secure gas connection and complete the required leak and operational checks. Our gas cooker installation work in South Shields is covered by Gas Safe registration.
Prepare the space before we arrive
Make sure we can reach the appliance position and gas connection without moving stored items or unfinished cabinets. Keep the appliance instructions available, along with accurate model details when you enquire. A cooker or hob cannot simply be fitted into any gap, so we assess clearances, ventilation and the surrounding setup first. If the supply or position is unsuitable, we explain the issue and what would need to change. Once connected, we check operation and leave the area ready for normal use.

Frequently asked questions
Can you replace an existing gas cooker or hob?
Yes, where the new appliance and installation point are suitable. We can disconnect the existing unit, connect the replacement and carry out relevant tests. Send both appliance details when requesting a quote.
What should be ready before the appointment?
The appliance should be available with its manufacturer information, and the fitting area should be clear and accessible. Any cabinet, worktop or flooring preparation should be completed where it affects installation.
What if the gas connection is unsuitable?
We will not force a connection that cannot be completed safely. We explain what is unsuitable and discuss any pipework or installation change that may be needed before the appliance can be fitted.
